R.I.P Harley

Our poor dog Harley passed away early in the morning on August 10th.  He lived at my parents house because when we moved from cedar we couldn't have pets at our house.  My parents were generous enough to take care of him for us.  Kaden and I went out and visited Harley Aug. 7th and he seemed a little lethargic and I had noticed that there was throw up by his food bowl but I didn't think too much of it.  My mom called me that night and said that Harley hadn't really had an appetite for the past 4 days and she had noticed throw up in the dog cage.  I told her to text me in the morning how he was doing so i could decide if we needed to take him to the vet.  In the morning my mom said Harley was pooping blood and he still hadn't eaten anything.  Braden and I took him to the vet and the vet wasn't sure what it was but he didn't think it was too serious.  He gave us some pills to give him and he thought it should clear it up within a week.  Braden and I decided that even though we weren't allowed to have pets at our house that we would take him there to take care of him because I didn't want my mom to have to deal with a sick dog.  We had to force feed harley oat meal or whatever we could poor down his throat.   He wouldn't really drink either so we had to use a syringe to put fluid down his throat.  Thursday I thought he was doing better. He had more energy and he would drink water on his own.  When we woke up friday morning harley was dead in his kennel.  It was quite devastating because I thought he was doing better and the whole time we were taking care of him I never thought that he was going to die.  Braden and I didn't know what to do, but we did know that we had to take care of him before the sun came up and before it got too hot.  We had him loaded into the truck by 5 A.M. and braden's manager at UPS called him and told him he had to come in because they were short on people.  So Braden took harley with him to work because he had no choice.  We didn't get harley taken care of until 11 friday afternoon.  It was a very sad ending to harley's life but it is a bit comical that he had to go to work with Braden.  We still don't know for sure what happened to harley but from all the symptoms he was having it looks like he was poisoned.  Poor Kaden was so sad when he woke up and Harley wasn't at our house for him to play with.  When we go to my parents he still looks for him out the back window.  Braden and Kaden can't wait for the day we get another dog.

Mr. Fix It

I have a hard time letting Kaden play out front because A-it is too hot and B- as soon as I open the door he doesn't stop running and I have a hard time keeping up with him and keeping him out of the road.  So Kaden gets to play in the garage a lot because I don't have to chase him.  He really likes to get Braden's tools and pretend to fix stuff.  It is really cute and he thinks he is so big!!

Oregon

We went to Oregon the very end of July to visit the Jorgensen clan. I will mostly let the pictures explain what we did.
Taizlee and Kaden were so excited to be at the Zoo

We went to John's Incredible Pizza and had so much fun!
I do believe that Braden kicked Shawn's butt.

The ocean was probably my favorite part! The water was freezing but it was still so fun.  We couldn't keep Kaden out of the water.  I'm almost 6 months pregnant. I think these might be the first pictures of me pregnant with Ellie.
We went to Voodo Doughnuts right before Braden flew home.  Braden had to leave on Sunday so he could be back to work on Monday.
I wish I could remember the name of the falls, but I don't.  If you are really curious visit Jana's blog and it will have the name of them on there.  Ignore my strange non smile in the picture above.
flying with Kaden wasn't the funnest thing I have done.  On the way to Oregon we had a 3 hour delay so that didn't help our situation because Kaden was so done with not being able to run free by the time we got on the plane that he was really hard to handle the whole flight.  Luckily my family was on the plane with us and they helped a lot.  On the way home, before the seat belt light went off, Kaden threw up all over me.  Luckily I had some pj's I could change Kaden into, but I didn't have anything for me to change into so it was a bit of a smelly ride the rest of the way.  He fell asleep as soon as we landed. We had  so much fun in Oregon.  Thank you so much to the Jorgensen's for letting us come stay at your house and eat your food!!!

Park Day

Kaden thought these silly toys at the park were so fun.  At first he was scared of the dinosaur but he started roaring at the dinosaur and when it didn't roar back he wasn't scared anymore.

Anti Gravity

My grandparents came down in the Middle of July and took all the great grandkids to Anti Gravity.  Kaden was a maniac!  He didn't stop the whole time we were there.  He would be sweating with red cheeks and I couldn't get him to stop and take a drink.  One things for sure that Kaden is not scared of anything.

IT'S A GIRL!!!!

I know we haven't been big on announcing that we are having another baby. But yes we are pregnant and yes it is a girl.  We didn't tell anyone in our families when we were finding out what we were having.  We found out May 21st that we were having a little girl!! We went and bought a pink it's a girl balloon and tied it to Kaden's wrist.  We had Kaden surprise each of our parents! We can't wait until little Ellie Mae gets here in November!!!

KADEN

Kaden loves books!  There are many times it will be too quiet so I will go see what he is doing, and he will just be sitting in the corner reading a book.
One of Kaden's favorite things is taking a bath.  I usually make him take a shower because he is too crazy in the bathtub.  He has figured out how to plug the drain and turn the shower into a bath.  He is getting too smart for his own good.
Kaden's loves animals and he loves giving kisses.  We went to Grease Monkey to get our oil changed and they had this monkey stature in there and Kaden thought it was real.  He was really nervous to get too close at first but he got over that quick.
I have to sneak away to do laundry when he is watching a show or playing with his toys, otherwise this is what happens.
Kaden still uses the toilet to go number 2.  He really enjoys reading his books in the morning when he is going.
one morning I was doing laundry and I came out to the family room and I couldn't find Kaden anywhere.  I got really nervous but I knew he had to be in the house because he can't open doors yet.  It didn't take me very long to find him in his tent. He must have been really tired because he was using his puzzle as a pillow.

Disneyland

We went to Disneyland April 20th to celebrate Nate being home from his mission.  We had a lot of fun.   Friday we went to Disneyland all day and Saturday we went to the beach.  Some of the family went back to Disneyland that night but Braden, Kaden, and I went to bed instead.  Kaden wasn't so sure about the rides.  Any ride that was dark he didn't like.  He had a fun time being with his cousins, eating lots of food, and running around.  His all time favorite part of Disneyland was when a very nice couple let him come pet their dog.
I didn't take any pictures at the  beach, but we had fun doing that too.  It was a little chilly so nobody really got in the water.  We couldn't keep Kaden's face out of the sand.  For some reason he just really wanted to eat the sand.  We would hold his hands so he couldn't get handfuls but then he would just put his face right in.  It was quite comical.
We didn't have a double stroller but our stroller worked just fine with Hope sitting on the front of Kaden's stroller.  I think Hope fell asleep first and then Kaden played with her hair until he fell asleep.
